How to Enable SCIM Provisioning for Megaphone TV in Okta

SCIM Provisioning automatically creates, updates, and deletes Megaphone user accounts when access to Megaphone is granted or revoked in Okta. Specifically, when SCIM Provisioning is enabled:

  1. Assigning an Okta user to the Megaphone TV Application will create a corresponding user in Megaphone Studio
  2. Unassigning an Okta user from the Megaphone TV Application will deactivate the user in Megaphone Studio

Steps to Enable SCIM Provisioning

  1. Sign into your Okta Admin Console
  2. In the left navigation column select Applications > Applications
  3. Select the Megaphone TV application
  4. Select the "General" application setting
  5. Edit App Settings
  6. Under Provisioning select SCIM

  7. Click "Save"
  8. "Provisioning" will appear as a new tab in your application view
  9. Select the "Provisioning" tab
  10. Edit your SCIM Connection
    1. SCIM connector base URL:
      https://studio.megaphonetv.com/okta/scim/v2/accounts/AccountID
      For AccountID, use the ID provided by your Megaphone representative.
    2. Unique identifier field for users:
      Enter "email"
    3. Supported provisioning actions:
      Select the following:
      "Push New Users"
      "Push Profile Updates"
    4. For Authentication Mode, use "HTTP Header"
  11. Edit th HTTP Header:
    For the Bearer token, use the token provided by your Megaphone representative
  12. Click "Test Connector Configuration"
    If SCIM is correctly configured, the following popup will appear:

  13. After a successful test, click Close, then "Save"
  14. While still in the Megaphone TV application select the "Provisioning" tab
  15. Click "To App"
  16. Under "Provisioning to App" click "Edit"
    1. Enable the following:
      Create Users
      Deactivate Users
    2. Click "Save"
